PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rust-preventive oil composition which is excellent in rust preventability and long maintainability thereof, and further advantageous to the suppression of the increase in the amount to be carried out, and also advantageous to degreasing properties and atomizing properties. SOLUTION: The rust-preventive oil composition contains: a base oil comprising a mineral oil and/or a synthetic oil; and sarcosine expressed by formula (1) R<SP>1</SP>-CO-NR<SP>2</SP>-(CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>n</SB>-COOX, formula (2) [R<SP>1</SP>-CO-NR<SP>2</SP>-(CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>n</SB>-COO]<SB>m</SB>Y, or formula (3) [R<SP>1</SP>-CO-NR<SP>2</SP>-(CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>n</SB>-COO]<SB>m</SB>-Z-(OH)<SB>m'</SB>; and one kind selected from a sulfonate, a carboxylic acid, a carboxylate, an ester, an amine and bromine compound. In formula (1), formula (2), formula (3), R<SP>1</SP>is a 6-30C alkyl group or a 6-30C alkenyl group; R<SP>2</SP>is a 1-4C alkyl group; (n) is an integer of 1-4. In formula(1), X is a hydrogen atom, a 1-30C alkyl group or a 1-30C alkenyl group; in formula (2), Y is an alkali metal or an alkaline-earth metal, and (m) is 1 when Y is the alkali metal and is 2 when Y is the alkaline earth metal. In formula (3), Z is a residue excluding the hydroxyl groups of polyhydric alcohol of two or more valences, (m) is an integer of≥1, (m') is an integer of≥0 and (m+m') is the valence of Z.
