PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom device less in processing loads required for a face detection function. SOLUTION: A range where ratio that face parts of visitors are located is high in image data to be picked up with a camera 101 is specified based on position information of faces parts of the visitors in the past accumulated in a memory 208 by a priority range specification part 2072, and face detection by a face detection circuit 2071 is preferentially performed from the range.
