PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take effective countermeasures when a reception failure occurs in IP broadcast by solving the problem during output of the IP broadcast, wherein a broadcast receiver 21 can receive both broadcast using broadcast waves and the IP broadcast, the output of the IP broadcast is limited to only the broadcast from a broadcast station 11 having the present position as a broadcast area, and priority is given to not the broadcast using broadcast waves but to the IP broadcast. SOLUTION: During output of the IP broadcast (S82), the broadcast receiver 21 monitors data reception of the IP broadcast from an IP broadcast server 20 (S84, S88, S96). When either event occurs, i.e., IP broadcast data reception times out (Yes in S84) and connection with the IP broadcast server 20 is interrupted (Yes in S88) or the number of continuous data reception retries executed for every time-out of data reception becomes not less than a predetermined value (Yes in S96), the broadcast receiver 21 outputs the content of analog broadcast instead of the IP broadcast (S102).
