PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector having a structures where it can be commonly used with respect to a plurality of types of optical fiber cables. SOLUTION: This optical connector 100 includes a storage section 110 for storing ferrule attached to an optical fiber, a caulking section 120 to which a tensile strength member is fixed in the case of attaching to the optical fiber cable of the type having the tensile strength member, a fixing section 130 as a part to which an end of the tension member is fixed in the case of attaching to the optical fiber cable of the type having the tension member, and a rotation stop key formed in the storage section 110. The fixing section 130 is located forward of the caulking section 120. Therefore, the workability can be improved when the optical fiber cable is attached to the optical connector 100.
