<p>The accelerator pedal (10) has a return spring (16) to increase driving force of the motor. The restoring force of the spring and accelerator pedal is conveyed back towards its starting position. A regulated brake booster is provided to cooperate with the return spring. The return force on the accelerator pedal is variable.</p>
