PURPOSE: A side mirror for a vehicle is provided to enhance driving safety since a light emitting unit flickers from the side mirror to indicate direction even if a turn signal for the vehicle is hidden. CONSTITUTION: A side mirror for a vehicle comprises a mirror case(1), a mirror(2), at least one light emitting units(3), and a holder assembly(4). The mirror case is installed on one side of the front door of the vehicle. The rear side of the mirror is coated with a reflective film(21). The light emitting units are arranged on the rear side of the mirror. For light to indicate direction when the light emitting unit is lit, the light penetrates through the reflective film. The holder assembly is attached to the rear side of the mirror and forms a space for holding the light emitting unit.
