<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and inexpensive apparatus and a method for treatment/recovery of gaseous hydrocarbon which prevent an adsorbent from being poisoned due to moisture contained in gasoline vapor. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for treatment/recovery of gaseous hydrocarbon includes a nozzle 1 for sucking the gasoline vapor, a condensing apparatus 6 for cooling moisture and the gasoline vapor sucked from the nozzle 1, a pump 8 for supplying the gasoline vapor sucked from the nozzle 1 to the condensing apparatus 6, adsorbing/desorbing apparatuses 2, 3 for adsorbing/desorbing the gasoline vapor at a rear stage of the condensing apparatus 6, a gas circulation blower 4 for sending purge gas for desorbing the gasoline vapor adsorbed to the adsorbing/desorbing apparatuses 2, 3, a pressure adjusting valve 214 which is provided between the nozzle 1 and the pump 8 and adjusts pressure of the gasoline vapor sucked from the nozzle 1 and a filter 215 which is provided between the pressure adjusting valve 214 and the pump 8 and sends a predetermined flow rate of the gasoline vapor to the pump 8.
