<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device in which operation of functions being needless for appreciation of a television image such as a cinema is forbidden by preventing setup information of the video display device being independent from the television image from being displayed on a screen when a viewer appreciates the television image. <P>SOLUTION: In a video display device X including OSD in which setup information setting operation situation of the video display device is displayed on a liquid crystal panel 40, and displayed setup information is selected, and operation situation is changed; the device X includes a switching means in which without displaying on the liquid crystal panel 40, first information in the setup information displayed by an OSD image generating par 24, also, an operation mode of the video display device is switched to such an operation mode that second information in the setup information set by the OSD is not selected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
