PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-pickup device capable of imaging in a desired composition. SOLUTION: The image-pickup device is constituted of: an imaging means for outputting the image data of imaging object, on receipt of an imaging light incident to a device body; a main-body-angle detecting means for detecting an inclination angle to the reference direction of the device body, around the direction of an optical axis where the imaging light is incident; a display means for displaying a picked-up image by the imaging means on the basis of the imaging data; and a display control means for displaying by the display means a level image which is rotated to scale down the picked-up image displayed by the display means, around the direction of the optical axis to counterbalance the inclination angle of the device body detected by the main-body-angle detecting means.
