PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition characterized by containing an S-lactoyl glutathione and/or a salt thereof. SOLUTION: The pharmaceutical composition is characterized by including the S-lactoyl glutathione and/or the salt thereof and has antithrombogenic effect, effective with small side effects. The pharmaceutical composition can prevent, improve and treat diseases which are developed at a high value of PAI-1 such as arteriosclerosis, septicemia, myocardial infarction, liver disease, malignant tumor, serious infection, DIC by reducing the increase of the PAI-1 (plasminogen activator inhibitor-1) amount.
