PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular headlamp intending to improve visibility at a low cost by a sub-reflector enabling illumination of the lower side region (road surface near a vehicle) of the vicinity of the front of the vehicle which is not illuminated by a high beam formed by rotating light from a high beam light source once using a reflector, when the high beam light source is lighted in a two lamp type vehicular headlamp and to have little influence of the sub-reflector on the light distribution pattern of a low beam when a low beam light source is lighted. SOLUTION: The sub-reflector 50 having a reflecting surface is provided in the front of the reflector 30 and in the vicinity of a double filament bulb 10. When a high beam filament 20 is lighted, this sub-reflector irradiates light of the filament to the reflector 30 by collecting it in the vicinity of a low beam filament 22, and thereby forms illumination light similar to the low beam. Thereby, a region on the lower side of the vicinity of the front of the vehicle which is not irradiated by the high beam can be illuminated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
