PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a directional control valve of a fluid device, in which the inner peripheral face of a spool hole is thinly scraped off while keeping the face smooth without deteriorating seal performance. SOLUTION: A spool type directional control valve V is provided with: a sleeve 51 having the spool hole 52 and a plurality of ports p, t, c communicating with the spool hole 52; and a spool valve 30 inserted axially in the spool hole 52 and moving along the axial direction to open and close the plurality of ports p, t, c. The spool valve 30 is provided with a maximum diameter portion 53 contacting with the inner periphery of the spool hole 52 and a small diameter portion 54 smaller in outer diameter than the maximum diameter portion 53 and capable of communicating with the ports p, t, c. On the outer peripheral face 55 of a boundary corner between the maximum diameter portion 53 and the small diameter portion 54, an annular grinding wheel portion 56 is provided including abrasive grains or an annular cutter portion having a cross section in a cutter shape extending in a tapered manner to a small diameter 54 side.
