An endoscope device is provided with: an endoscope (10) provided, on the distal-most side thereof, with a distal-end hard section (14); a manipulator (50) inserted through an insertion path (42) provided in the endoscope (10) or in a tube (95) which is a separate element from the endoscope (10); and an image-capturing element (30) provided to the distal-end hard section (14) of the endoscope (10) and capturing images of an object and the distal end section of the manipulator (50). The endoscope device is also provided with marking sections (70A-70D) which are provided to the distal-end section of the manipulator (50) at positions within the image-capturing range of the image-capturing element (30) and are adapted so that the positions of the marking sections (70A-70D) in the direction about the axis are changed by rolling operation of the manipulator (50) relative to the endoscope (10).
