PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device that properly controls the timing of switch-on in a configuration in which a plurality of power supply switches provided with respect to one circuit block are sequentially turned on. SOLUTION: The semiconductor device includes an internal circuit, a plurality of power supply switches respectively provided in a plurality of parallel paths for supplying a current to the internal circuit and controlled into a conductive state or a non-conductive state, a command part for giving an instruction for cutting off power supply to the internal circuit or an instruction for supplying power supply to the internal circuit, a variation detection part for detecting whether or not a current supplied to the internal circuit via the power supply switches is in a steady state so as to output the detection result, and a logic circuit for controlling the timing to make the plurality of power switches conductive according to the detection result when a current supply amount to the internal circuit is increased by sequentially making the plurality of power supply switches conductive in response to the power supply instruction of the command part.
