PORTABLE EARTH LEAKAGE TESTER

A portable earth leakage tester for testing both fixed and portable RCD devices wherein the tester switches between operating modes in response to a portable RCD being plugged in. When testing portable RCDs the earth fault current is isolated from the mains supply by connecting the earth of the device under test to the neutral of the mains supply. The tester also provides means for earth leakage, earth resistance and polarity testing.
