METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING ERROR OF ENGINE KNOCK SENSOR

PURPOSE: A method for diagnosing the error of an engine knock sensor is provided to diagnose the disconnection of a signal line of the engine knock sensor or the loose circuit connection of the engine knock sensor by using the specific property of the engine knock sensor. CONSTITUTION: An RC oscillator(200) is connected to an input terminal of an engine knock sensor(100). An electronic control unit(300) determines an electric error by monitoring a voltage applied to the input terminal of the engine knock sensor. The electronic control unit applies an error determination voltage to the input terminal by driving the RC oscillator according to a preset oscillation condition when the voltage applied to the input terminal is low and an error occurs.
