摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detection method and device of a movable element of an electromagnetic actuator, which detects accurately a plunger position, even if two points exist, which have each equal inductance of a coil and each different air gap between the plunger and the bottom of a stator, by generating magnetic saturation. SOLUTION: This method has: a first process for applying a fluctuating voltage to a coil 5; a second process for measuring a rising or falling state of a current flowing in the coil 5 generated by application of the fluctuating voltage a plurality of times during rising and falling; and a third process for determining the position of the movable element 6 by comparing respectively a plurality of measured values acquired in the second process with a measured value or a calculated value used as a reference.
