PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a plane image and a stereoscopic image photographed under optimum photographing conditions, respectively, when the photographing range of the plane image and that of the stereoscopic image differ from each other. SOLUTION: A stereoscopic camera includes a first image-sensing system 11L including a first photographic lens 30L and a first image-sensing element 34L generating a first sensing image by image-sensing a subject, and a second image-sensing system 11R including a second photographic lens 30R and a second image-sensing element 34R generating a second sensed image by image-sensing the subject. The stereoscopic camera further includes a photographing condition detector 73 detecting a first photographing condition in a first detecting area corresponding to the photographing range of the plane image and detecting a second photographing condition in a second detecting area corresponding to the photographing range of the stereoscopic image different from the photographing range of the plane image when at least one of a focusing position and a quantity of exposure is detected as a photographing condition.
