PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concrete degradation preventive surface coating method which maintains degradation preventive performance of concrete over a long term, does not yield cracking on the surface of coated surface even if cracking occurs in concrete itself, and does not spoil a beautiful surface appearance which is caused by minute swelling generation. SOLUTION: In a surface coating method where a surface coating material whose elongation of a coating film at -20°C is 0.4 mm or more and adhesive strength at 20°C is 1 N/mm2or more is applied on the surface of a concrete structure, the concrete degradation preventive surface coating method is a method where a mesh fiber sheet whose mesh porosity is 50-80% and size of aperture is 2 mm or less is placed between the surface coating materials.
