PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum circuit breaker using an insulating shaft of three-phase integrated type, the insulating shaft securing the priority for grounding breakdown. SOLUTION: The vacuum circuit breaker is provided with a vacuum bulb 4 having a pair of contacts 3 in free contact and separation, a turnable insulating shaft 9 to which a movable axle 7 of the vacuum bulb 4 is connected and is arranged in a direction orthogonal to the axis direction of the movable axle 7, and an operating mechanism 14 which is connected to the insulating shaft 9. The insulating shaft 9 is constructed of: a main axle 10 connected to the operating mechanism 14; and projecting parts 13 of an insulator 11 of which three-phase parts are independently arranged in the axial direction of the main axle 10 and which are connected to the movable axle 7.
