PURPOSE: An apparatus for protecting arc is provided to increase operation reliability by detecting the level of arc voltage and arc current and the frequency of arc current without using a current transformer. CONSTITUTION: An arc protection apparatus comprises a voltage level detection unit(100), a current level detection unit(200), a current frequency detection unit(300), and a protection signal generator(400). The voltage level detection unit transmits a voltage signal when an input voltage signal is over a reference voltage. The current level detection unit transmits a current signal when an input current signal is over a reference current. The current frequency detection unit transmits a current signal when the frequency of the input signal is over a reference frequency. An inductor suppresses a ripple and a noise effect. |
