Method for manufacturing clock movements operating at different frequencies

The method involves designing a base common to movements, where the base comprises a gear-train for connecting a barrel to an escapement e.g. Swiss lever escapement, in each clock movement. An escapement-hairspring assembly is selected for each movement, where the escapements maintain the oscillations of a hairspring. The escapement is formed of an escape wheel (11) with N teeth. The number of teeth varies from one movement to another movement. The ratio between the number of teeth and the oscillation frequency of the hairspring is equal to 5 and identical for each movement.
