A street lighting fitting comprises a housing containing a low pressure sodium vapour discharge lamp arranged between and parallel to two low pressure mercury vapour discharge lamps, the mercury lamps having bulbs with internal reflective layers so arranged that each of them has a light distribution in planes at right angles to its axis in the form of a single elongated lobe directed towards the other lamp. The sodium lamp is a U-shaped tube having a light distribution in the form of two elongated lobes directed towards the respective mercury lamps. A flat reflector with a central diffusing section is arranged above the lamps. |
