The present invention relates to a method for diagnosing aggressiveness of a colorectal cancer in a patient from a colorectal cancer sample of said patient, comprising: a) measuring in vitro the expression level of genes in said patient colorectal cancer sample and in a healthy colorectal tissue sample, wherein said genes are: POLQ, CDC45, CDC6, CDT1, SLD5, MCM2 and MCM7; b) calculating for each gene an expression level ratio of the expression level in said patient colorectal cancer sample to the expression level in said healthy colorectal tissue sample; c) comparing each gene expression level ratio to a corresponding threshold value, and d) diagnosing colorectal cancer aggressiveness if the ratios of POLQ and at least 3 other genes are superior to their corresponding threshold values. Dedicated microarrays and kits are also described, as well as a method of selecting a suitable treatment.
