METHOD FOR PROVIDING GUI BY USING MOTION AND DISPLAY APPARATUS APPLYING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A method for providing a GUI(Graphic User Interface) based on motion and a display apparatus adopting the same are provided to enable a user to more conveniently select a desirable menu by displaying a menu on a 3D GUI. CONSTITUTION: A GUI generating unit(150) generates a 3D GUI, and the 3D GUI displays each menu on a specific plane and a lateral plane which is adjacent to the specific plane in a rectangular parallelepiped. A display unit(180) displays the 3D GUI on a screen. If a motion sensor(140) detects the operation of a user when the menu of the specific plane is displayed, a control unit(190) displays the menu of the lateral plane corresponding to the user operation on a screen.
