<p>The invention relates to a catenary system having at least one line which, in particular, is the contact wire or the carrying cable. In this case, there is a maximum permissible mechanical tensile stress in the line which depends by a factor, which is lower at a higher temperature, on the maximum permissible temperature of the line. The invention provides for the maximum permissible temperature to be greater than 100°C, and for the factor by which the maximum permissible mechanical tensile stress depends on the maximum permissible temperature to be a continuous function of temperature and time which is determined in a preliminary test.</p> |
