The present invention relates generally to packaging. In one embodiment the invention concerns a container (212) having a tool retainer (224) incorporated therein. In another embodiment the invention relates to a container (10) of the type having a hollow envelope (14) defining internally a chamber (22) suitable for a product (12) such as a cosmetic product, the hollow envelope defining externally a receiving housing (24) for a tool (18) such as a cosmetic tool; and a tool, such as a cosmetic tool, designed to be received removably in the receiving housing, the tool having at least a part that is more flexible than the hollow envelope.
