PURPOSE: A resistor for a cooling fan is provided to enhance safety by preventing explosion due to heat in a mold during inundation. CONSTITUTION: A resistor for a cooling fan comprises a casing member(10), a coil member(20), and a molding member(30). The casing member comprises a coil storage, of which one side is open. The coil member is inserted into the inside of the coil storage. Both ends of the coil member are protruded onto the outside of the casing member, and the coil member has resistance. The molding member is filled in the coil storage of the casing member. A hole is formed in the bottom of the coil storage of the casing member.
