<p>Graft polymers are prepared by reacting a high-molecular polysodium hydrocarbon at between -10 and +60 deg.C. with copolymerisable alkenically unsaturated monomer is suspension in an inert solvent. The products can be used as air-drying lacquers or for the production of rubber articles. If they are liquid, they can be used as additives for lubricating oils. The polysodium hydrocarbon is particularly a polybutadiene, polyisoprene, polypentenamer, polystyrene or styrene-butadiene copolymer with a molecular weight of 500 and 2 sodium atoms per molecular hydrocarbon, which contains double bonds and/or, aromatic nuclei, with compounds of the formula NaR, where R is an aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon residue, preferably sodiumamyl or sodiumphenyl.</p> |
