<p>PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a control method thereof are provided to confirm a message or call reception information by temporally entering another communication mode when the mobile terminal is in a sleep state. CONSTITUTION: First and second mobile communication modules have different communication modes and a memory unit(160) classifies and stores information corresponding to a first or second communication mode. A control unit(180) selectively switches the first or second mobile communication modules and changes the current mode into the first or second communication mode. The control unit receives event information related to the call or a message received during an absence corresponding to the communication mode when the communication mode is changed.</p> |
