<p>This invention relates to a shim plate for milling tools for chip removing machining of the type that comprises an upperside (26), an underside, and at least one side surface (36a) extending between the same and forming an angle of maximum 90°with the upperside (26), wherein a through hole (23) includes a first section (24) mouthing in the upperside (26), and a second section (25) mouthing in the underside and having a diameter a diameter that is smaller than the diameter of the first section, besides which the upperside (26) transforms into the side surface (36a) via an edge portion intended to, when need arises, serve as an auxiliary chip-removing cutting edge. According to the invention, said edge portion is strengthened by including a chamfer surface (39) that forms an obtuse angle with the upperside (26). In addition, the invention relates to a milling tool of the type that makes use of shim plates according to the invention.</p> |
