The present invention relates to an apparatus for analysing the gait of a person, comprising: a treadmill (10) having a conveyor belt (12) guided over at least two rollers (16), wherein the surface side (18) of the conveyor belt (12) is a tread area, and having a frame (14) at least partly surrounding the conveyor belt (12); an encoder (20) for determining the speed of the conveyor belt (12); a pressure plate (18) located underneath the tread area of the conveyor belt (12) comprising an array of pressure sensors; at least one force sensor (26); electronic means (28) adapted to read out pressure distribution values of the array of pressure sensors and force values of the at least one force sensor (26); and analysing means (30) adapted to synchronise the pressure distribution values and the force values.
