发明名称 Improvements in and relating to Cutting Machines
摘要
1,169,299. Shearing. E. W. BLISS CO. 5 Dec., 1967 [19 April, 1967], No. 55358/67. Heading B3W. A cutting machine, particularly for edge trimming, comprises a frame 30 carrying an upper and a lower co-operating cutting disc 12 and 14 mounted for rotation about spaced horizontal axes and a frame 16 supporting the frame 30 for angular movement about a line generally co-extensive with one of said axes-as shown the lower one-to vary the work entry angle. To effect this movement a shaft 42 supported by the U-shaped frame 16 is rotatable by means of a motor (50), Fig. 3 (not shown), gear reducer 52 and coupling 54, a threaded portion 46 of the shaft passing through a fixed nut assembly 48 in a bracket 49 on the rectangular frame 30. The sides and bottom of the frame 30 bear on the frame 16 through co-operating slide faces 32a and 32b or 34a and 34b which form segments of a cylinder the centre line of which is generally coextensive with the axis of the cutting disc 14 about which axis the frame 16 can be rotated to, e.g. the broken line position indicated. The discs are mounted on chocks 60, 62 which are relatively movable to vary the overlap or clearance of the discs by means of rods 70 having oppositely threaded portions 74, 76 passing through fixed nuts 74, 72 at the top of chock 60 and bottom of chock 62 respectively. The rods are rotated simultaneously by means of gears (82), Fig. 4 (not shown), driven by a pinion gear (88) positioned centrally of the four gears and actuated by an electric motor 90. The chocks are supported on, and movable vertically by a jack 96, slide members (63), Fig. 7 (not shown), engaging in slideways 64 on the frame 30 and flats on the rods 70 and on the internal faces of the gears allowing vertical movement of the rods relative to the gears. To take up any play in the threads on the rods 70 prior to cutting hydraulically-actuated pistons 100 on the lower chock, located between the discs and the adjacent rods 70, are caused to apply an upward force to the chock 60. The whole assembly is movable in a slideway 20, 22 in a base 18 in a direction parallel with the axes of rotation of the discs by means of a lead-screw 24 passing through a non-rotatable nut 26 on the frame 16 and rotatable by, e.g., an electric motor.
