Decorative coating aq. compsn. contg cellulose - acrylic! vinyl! resin, fungicide, detergent and fillers, for metal, wood or glass substrates

Prepn. of a decorative coating compsn comprises: (1) gradually adding water contg. a fungicide to cellulose powder to form a homogeneous paste; (2) adding 2% of an acrylic-vinyl resin; and (3) adding 2% of a detergent prod. contg. hexa-metaphosphate gp. and 1% anticoagulant to adjust the basicity to pH 8. A base paste is thus obtd. to which a suitable filler can be added to give the required coating. By varying the colour and particle size of the fillers various decorative and protective coatings can be obtd. which can be applied to e.g. metal, wood or glass surfaces.
