Aqueous dispersions comprising a polyurethane composed of (a) diisocyanates, (b) diols, (c) monomers, excluding monomers (a) and (b), containing at least one isocyanate or isocyanate-reactive group and further carrying at least one hydrophilic group to render the polyurethane dispersible in water, d) optionally, polyfunctional compounds, excluding monomers (a) to (c), containing alcoholic hydroxyl, primary or secondary amino, or isocyanate reactive groups, and (e) optionally, monofunctional compounds, excluding monomers (a) to (d), containing an alcoholic hydroxyl, primary or secondary amino, or isocyanate reactive group, obtained by reacting the monomers (a), (b), (c), and, optionally (d) and (e), in the presence of a cesium salt. |
