Device for metering a cryogenic medium

The device has a valve (1) connected with a supply line that is provided for supplying cryogenic medium. The valve is equipped with guiding channels (14) that extend via a valve housing. A blocking element (11) is guided in a movable manner in an axial direction in the guiding channels, whose cross section is adapted to cross section of the blocking element, where the guiding channels are designed as round boreholes. Groove type flow channels extend over an axial length of the guiding channels and open out in an area of a valve seat (16) of the valve housing.
