PURPOSE: A food sterilizing method and a food sterilizing apparatus are provided to uniformly heating and sterilizing food materials using heating steam inside a steaming chamber. CONSTITUTION: A food sterilizing apparatus comprises the following: a heating and sterilizing chamber(2) including openings(12) on both sides of the chamber; first and second opening/closing units(3,4) connected to the openings; a plate(23) located in the inside of the heating and sterilizing chamber, for installing a retainer; and steam supply units(7,8), a steam discharge unit(9), and an air discharge unit(10) installed on the outside of the heating and sterilizing chamber. |
