The present invention relates to the use of a combination of acylcyclohexanedione carboxylic acid or salts thereof and acylcyclohexanedione carboxylic acid esters for improving the development of gramineous plants. The invention also relates to a method for improving the development of gramineous plants in which the plants or plant sections thereof are treated with said combination.
