The method involves transmitting a digital radio signal along a transmission configuration of a wireless communication node for a predetermined time. Amplitude of the signal received by a receiving smart antenna of the wireless communication node for the predetermined time is measured. Another transmission configuration of the wireless communication node is implemented if the measured amplitude is greater than a predetermined threshold.
