PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to use a portable recording medium such as a USB memory in an image processing apparatus more conveniently than before.

SOLUTION: An image processing server 2 generates second image data by applying specified processing to first image data. An image forming apparatus 1 makes a user select whether or not to store identification information for identifying the second image data in the portable recording medium instead of the second image data. Then, when it is selected to store the identification information, the identification information is stored in the recording medium. When the recording medium is set, a terminal 3 requests the second image data to the image processing server 2 and downloads them on the basis of the identification information stored in the recording medium.
