<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an idling stop device which makes it possible to prevent voltage reduction of a battery even when a microcomputer is reset. <P>SOLUTION: In the idling stop device 1a, reset information indicating that reset conditions have been established is stored in a latch circuit 3a when the reset conditions have been established, and a microcomputer 2 disables an idling stop function when the reset information is stored. It is possible for the microcomputer 2 to disable the idling stop function after the idling stop function has been reset because the reset information is stored in the latch circuit 3a both during and after reset of the microcomputer 2.
