PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter polishing machine with which, when performing polishing process of reciprocatively moving a polishing tool with respect to the cutting edge of the cutter in a secured state, the operation of reciprocating movement of the polishing tool can be carried out soundly and quickly, thereby polishing the cutter soundly and quickly while reducing the risk of damage to the cutting edge. SOLUTION: The cutter polishing machine includes a polishing tool with a flat plate-shaped abrasive 34 detachably attached to one surface on one end side of a support member 32; a securing base for mountingly securing the cutting edge 91 of the cutter including the cutting edge 91 and a grip portion while holding a necessary tilt angleθ; a support section for supporting other end 33b of the support member of the polishing tool while allowing for the reciprocating movement when the abrasive 34 of the polishing tool while being mounted on a polishing object portion of the cutting edge 91 of the cutter secured to the securing base is reciprocatively moved in directions A1 and A2 intersecting with the longitudinal direction of the polishing object portion 91a of the cutting edge 91; and a restraining section for restraining a moving range S0 during the reciprocating movement of the polishing tool by stopping the movement of the polishing tool.
