PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective cover and a wire harness routing method for preventing slack of a wire harness and improving workability. SOLUTION: A protective cover 21 after protecting a light source integrated type functioning part 22 is slid toward a wire harness 28. Specifically, after being slid toward the wire harness 28, the protective cover 21 is used to secure the wire harness 28 at an appropriate position while absorbing a slack 35. The protective cover 21 serves as a clamp for absorbing the slack.
