PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-diplexing microstrip antenna including a compact and simple exciting element for reducing transmission/reception coupling. SOLUTION: The microstrip antenna comprises at least one transmission microstrip antenna and one reception microstrip antenna. The transmission microstrip antenna transmits a radio wave to a transmission patch formed on a dielectric substrate by supplying power from a feeder via a slot formed on a ground plate mounted on a rear side of the dielectric substrate through electromagnetic coupling. The reception microstrip antenna supplies power to the feeder via the slot formed on the ground terminal mounted on the rear side of the dielectric substrate through electromagnetic coupling for the radio wave received by a parasitic element and an exciting element formed on the dielectric substrate while facing the parasitic element with a space therebetween. The exciting element is comprised of a plurality of metal pieces, and portions adjacent to each of the metal piece are separated at a meandering gap of a fixed width. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
