PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering wheel for an automobile in which various kinds of adjustments are not required in its airbag device. SOLUTION: The steering wheel 1 for the automobile includes a boss part to be turnably connected to an upper end of a steering shaft 2, a rim 5 arranged on the boss part via a spoke 4, an airbag 8 which is folded and arranged on the boss part, and inflated over the rim 5 with gas generated from an inflator to protect an occupant 7, and a cover member 9 for covering the periphery of the boss part and the airbag 8. The airbag 8 is constituted of a first inflation chamber 11 to be deployed at the corresponding position to a belly 10 of the occupant 7, and a second inflation chamber 13 to be deployed at the corresponding position to a head 12 of the occupant 7, and the internal pressure in the first inflation chamber 11 in an inflation mode is larger than that in the second inflation part 13.
