PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor that determines an optimum transfer system for a supplied job, and to provide a method and a program for controlling the information processor. SOLUTION: An MFP 101 includes a plurality of HD 220 and 221 for storing data, and uses the HD 220 and 221 as one virtual memory. On the basis of the type of a supplied job, a CPU 201 determines a transfer system (mirroring or striping) for data of the job to the HD 220 and 221.
