Disclosed is a polyester film for solar cells suitable for a thin film solar cell element required to have a high reflectance in the visible light and near infrared ranges and low reflection directivity. The polyester film for solar cells is a void-containing polyester film and has an average reflectance in the wavelength range of 400-1200 nm of 70-95% inclusive and an average transmittance in the wavelength range of 700-1200 nm of 5-30% inclusive.
