<p>The method involves palletizing a product e.g. yogurt, to be cooled, and continuously or discontinuously conveying pallets (3) through a cooling tunnel (1) in a conveying direction. Coolant flow is supplied transverse to the conveying direction of the pallets. The pallets are cleaned in a cleaning zone before cooling the pallets such that the pallets are exposed to airflow (15). The airflow is produced by blowing and distribution of air by a nozzle plate. Particles are filtered by filters (11) e.g. bag filters. An independent claim is also included for a cooling tunnel for cooling products.</p>
