FUEL CARTRIDGE FOR FUEL CELL, AND METHOD FOR MAKING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply unit for a fuel cell easy to replace or reload.

SOLUTION: The fuel supply unit can be a pressurized or non-pressurized cartridge 10 that can be used with any fuel cell. The fuel cell includes but not limited to, a direct methanol fuel cell or a reformer fuel cell. In one aspect, the fuel supply unit may include a reaction chamber to convert fuel to hydrogen. The fuel supply unit may also include a pump 24. The fuel supply unit may include a valve 36 connecting fuel to the fuel cell and also an exhaust mechanism 33 exhausting gas from the fuel supply unit. Methods for making various fuel supply units are also provided.
