PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for forming a golf ball, in which mold release properties and wettability from a material are improved when using urethane for a cover layer, and minute dimples can be formed. SOLUTION: The mold for forming the urethane cover as an outermost layer of the golf ball includes at least two split molds that are separably joined with each other. The split molds includes a cavity formed therein by the joining, the cavity being for forming the urethane cover. On a cavity surface, protrusions are formed to form dimples of the golf ball. The whole cavity surface are covered by a composite plating film 20 that comes into contact with a material of the urethane cover. The composite plating film 20 contains a nickel-based matrix 21 and fluororesin particles 22 dispersed in the nickel-based matrix. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
